A retrospective list of stuff I'd add to Minecraft

As of now I'm just venting while I wait for an episode of Pokémon Advance Battle to finish buffering.

Minecraft is without a doubt one of the best games to have recently blessed my gaming life (in my opinion, at least) but I feel there's so much more that could be added, so I suppose I'll wishlist this stuff on my blog because I haven't made a post recently.

- Zombies previously had an odd chance of wearing armour. This did not affect them at all and was later removed from the game, so pretty lame... My first proposition is zombies should have a 15% chance or so of wearing armour, the type of armour being completely random as is how much armour they wear. This means you could get all sorts of obscure combinations, a zombie in a leather helmet and diamond boots, one with a golden chest plate, maybe even chain armour on the rare occasion. Heck, maybe it could have a 5% chance of having a random enchantment! This time, though, the armour actually will affect the zombie's health and will work as normal armour does for the player. Upon defeating the zombie, it's armour is dropped, sustaining any damage it may have taken from attack. It could not only make zombies more threatening (considering them smashing doors isn't threatening at all since they take bloody ages), but also add opportunities for unlucky players to gain a bit of ground.

- Now I'll try to get away from the text wall. Give skeletons say a 30% chance of wielding a random sword instead of a bow. Maybe have them drop their sword on the rare occasion upon defeat.

- Give skeletons a small chance (say 10%) of having an enchanted weapon (this includes the aforementioned swords).

- A rare species of creeper which will have the explosion force of full TNT making it far more deadly than a plain old regular creeper. Maybe have it drop TNT instead of sulphur.

- Name the upcoming sky world the Far Lands after the old end of the map which disappeared when new world generation was implemented.

- Zombie Cowmen, Sheepmen, and Chickenmen. I'm fucking serious.

- Be able to dye redstone in order to make wires which will not connect when placed next to normal redstone.

- Redstone + slime ball to make sticky redstone which can be placed up walls.

- Crossbows that automatically fire arrows at maximum speed however have a limit to how often it can be fired (i.e. it needs half a second or so to recharge). Basically the classic bow but less cheap. Uses pretty much the same enchantments as a normal bow.

- Give skeletons a small chance of wielding crossbows instead of normal bows.

- Potion of Home which upon consumption will teleport you back to your spawn location.

- Potion of Hell which upon consumption will teleport you to the nether (without a portal).

- Have a rare chance of incomplete/destroyed nether portals spawning on the overworld.

- Testificate castletowns which are far larger than the average village.

- Desert wolves, a mob found only in deserts which are passive until you get close to them, at which point they will turn hostile and begin to attack.

- Arachnid Dimension (tentative name), an eternally night dimension inhabited by spiders with the odds of spiders and cave spiders spawning are extremely high. Also features a new mob, the Titanic Spider. Description of which is implied by the title.

Well I could go on but I'm bored. I guess I'll find something else to do until this video loads.

Damn DSL...
